It's a great little 3D platformer with good controls, a decent uncontrollable camera, and just enough challenge for a gamer parent to not get bored. My overall impression is Mario 64 clone, but I've honestly never played Mario 64 so this is just based on watching other people play, bright colors, simple geometry, and collecting things. The simple graphics means there's not much for the 3 year old to get scared by, though he did run to his room during one of the voxel-dragon boss fights.The uncontrollable camera might be annoying to some, but Suzy Cube did a reasonable job of knowing where to point the camera in the level. The camera did glitch out once or twice when the trigger for going around a corner misfired, but the only time I died due to the camera was an auto-scroller level that forced a few blind moves. The controls are simple and responsive on an XBox controller, I didn't try keyboard/mouse.We've completed all 5 worlds in around 7 hours with a 3-year-old bouncing around the room telling me which things to pick up and which path to take, so it's a pretty quick play. We didn't 100% all levels yet, and there are bonus level that only open once you 100% all levels in a world, so we've probably got another couple hours of play left in it. It also has a built-in level timer and global leaderboards if you want to speed-run levels.I honestly don't think I'd enjoy this half as much if the 3 year old wasn't "helping" me and getting so excited at the most mundane things. I mean, to him, the final boss making fire catch fire is the most amazing thing ever, to me it's just boss attack 1 overlapping boss attack 2. I probably would have still gotten a couple bucks enjoyment out of it without the help. So, with 3 year old helping, worth full price, without, possibly worth full price but definitely worth it on sale if you like retro-ish 3d platformers and short games.. I really enjoyed this game! There are some issues here and there, but overall I really enjoyed the experience!The biggest problem I had with this game has to be the camera, sometimes it works in the way that you can't see where you're going, but for most of the time it does a pretty good job at following the character without too much interruption to the player.The bosses felt a bit repetitive, since they do have the same designs. Big bone snake works in some places, but I think for some places the boss can be replaced with different species, ones that fit the atmosphere of the world.~Now, even with those issues, the game itself is absolutely adorable and the character has more character than I expected by the time I finish the first playthrough! The simplicity of controls work, and as much as it resembles Mario games, it works with this game very well.~seriously this game is so friggin' cute and colorful I love it. This game is a very fun and charming platformer that definatly comes reocmended. Really, the only way i could not recommend this is if you've played Mario 3d land and hated it, as this feels extremely similair to that.That said the recomendation does come with a few potential caveats. most prominetly its a bit short (41 levels then usually take about 5-10 minutes to beat), and while the platforming is rock solid other aspects of the game can be a bit buggy.. Suzy Cube is a super fun and cute 3D Platformer! It has super nice and tight platforming, and very responsive controls. For the selection of Power Up's it's rather dim, there isn't much varity in what they do and from what I've played so far there is only 4 Power Up's. Level design is really nice, nothing feels repeated and it always urges me to continue to the next level. Boss Fights however feels recycled and repeated with only one or two things changing here or there, which is rather disappointing. It's always a Dragon (different color every world), and some sort of gimmick for the boss that is different from the previous times, once again nothing special there. Finally the price - for 8$ you're honestly getting a steal of a deal, Suzy Cube is well worth your money!. Scratches the Mario itch. Cute little game seemingly inspired by Mario 3D Land/World, very fun platformer with an adorable artstyle and good level design.Main game is a bit short but definitely worth the price, it's also got secret stages for the completionists looking for extra challenge.My only main criticism is that the bosses repeat but they seem like an aftertought compared to the regular stages, the game is also a bit simple, but still enjoyable, if they did a sequel and expanded the ideas they presented in this game it would be great to see.Definitely recommended!. Simple graphics, bland music and 3 star system gives off mobile game vibe but this game excells in it's level design with the batting average of fun levels being around 85%. The love and respect is clearly felt in it's difficulty and variety. You platformer fan, get it!
