WTF? NO ONLINE MULTIPLAYER?I am pathetic, but not so pathetic as to want to play a board game by myself. No mulitplayer on a board game is a deal-breaker.. Decent port of the board game.. Game music had to be turned off right from the get go as it gets annoyting real fast. But overall a nice adapatation of the board game.. I'm going to write 2 different reviews right here, one for those who do not own the physical copy, and one for those who do.You do not own the physical copy:Fun co-op board game where you and up to 3 other players attempt to prevent the spread of diseases, and cure them, in a race against time. The 4 action per turn system allows for quick gameplay, but due to the depth of choice, does provide depth of choice. Cards can be used to move, or saved to make the game winning cures, or building more research stations which provide quick movement and a place to make the cures. Each in game character has a special ability to help fight the infections, allow some are clear cuts above, when compared to others. The game does take a few rounds to get used to the flow, of the game progression, as early game may seem like there isn't as much to do, but late game you may find yourself pressured by too many critical choices; this does become less of a problem after some time playing, as you will know how best to weigh your options. The lack of online multiplayer is disappointing.You own the physical copy:Its nice to not have to set it up when playing by yourself, but there is no online multiplayer, so there are very few instances where you would play this version over the physical one; the most common instance likely being just to avoid set up to play on your own.Overall recommendation:If you don't own the physical copy, this about 25% of the price, so I would say go for it only if you can stand to play a board game on the computer.If you already own the physical copy, don't bother until online multiplayer is in.. A great version of the game without any expansions. Good for if you want a quick game alone or with friends but dont want to get the actual game out.Could use online multiplayer.. I'm a fan of Pandemic the board game, and I've found this online version really enjoyable to play solo. (I've read that some people wish there were multiplayer and/or AI options, but these wouldn't be relevant to me.)This online version of Pandemic has an interface that's intuitive; its mechanics are flawless*; and the graphics communicate what's happening in the game effectively.There are only a couple of minor annoyances I have: the sound effects are irritating (I turned them off VERY quickly); the useful Undo feature is inconsistently available (e.g. for a player's final action); and the Discard excess cards option should not let you discard Events so easily.*At present (November 2018) it has one bug that means that I have to abandon about 1 game in 10, but I'm hoping this is a teething problem that will be fixed.
